Here is an interesting perspective on the Hillary campaign. Although from an unusual (porn star) source, it still approaches the idea that Bill is winning many of her votes for her.

Bill Clinton has released a five minuted video on Youtube in support of his wife’s campaign for presidency.

This sensational video with elevator music and an obvious appeal to emotions or morality seems more like a corny infomercial than a political clip. Read the rest of this entry »

Last week I discussed Hillary Clinton emulating a male appearance in her choice of clothing style. I believe she bring femininity into the political realm rather than consent to dressing in the style already established.

A writer for In These Times feels that Clinton is not only dressing like a man, but acting like one in order to forge ahead in this male dominated field. She is disappointed that Clinton has acted like every other “poll-driven opportunistic politician.” This writer wants a woman to run for president and bring her femininity with her. Hillary Clinton has a My Space.

I am speechless.

I think it is maintained by her campaign, but I am not quite sure. The site seems very informative, but odd in this informal, juvenile context. The site is a great way to reach out to the younger, computer savy generation, but for me at least, will take some getting used to.

A new Marist Poll shows Clinton has pulled ahead once again.

A recent article on Politico.com discusses Hillary Clinton’s femininity with a different twist. The writer, Ben Smith proposes that Clinton is taking the political position of the “white guy on the right.”  As a woman, she is shaking up this traditionally electable position, but at the same time, she is the most centrist candidate.

I would like to believe that Clinton’s qualifications and Read the rest of this entry »

Just as I had previously posted, there is trend this campaign cylce of the Democratic candidates holding their tongues when it comes to each other, but letting loose on the Bush administration. Senator Hillary Clinton spoke at the National Conference of Black Mayors this weekend along with Barack Obama. An article in Fox News points out the united Read the rest of this entry »

The democratic candidates for president have so far made an attempt to bring morality back in to campaigning. They have been careful not not to attack each other and are quick to unite whenever possible. In the face of the Hillary Clinton You Tube scandal, her team held off from blaming the Obama camp and Obama quickly ushered a statement saying they were not responsible for the video. In debates and in advertising, the candidates have also steered clear of bashing their democratic opponents.

While this is a welcome change from previous elections, I wonder how sincere these newfound manners are. Read the rest of this entry »
